International Investment Dominance in New Construction

Global buyers purchased 52% of new South Florida construction, pre-construction, and condo conversion sales over the last 22 months, up from a previous 49% share. Buyers from 73 countries are active, with Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil leading the volume. Miami is cited as the No. 1 U.S. destination for global buyers and a "safe haven" against political/economic instability abroad, often using all-cash purchases which shield the market from US interest rate volatility.
